With ruler draw line AB, 3" long.

Using A and B as centers and AB as radius with, compasses draw arcs to intersect above AB at C.

With ruler draw lines AC and BC.

Cut triangle with scissors.

Measure 1" down from apex of triangle.

Bore hole with point of scissors.
