To darken a pair of light tan shoes, give them a couple of coats of Propert's dark stain, and afterwards polish with the darkest brown cream that can be obtained. If the leather has not been creamed before, a couple of coats of the darkest brown shade of Dolly dye might be applied: cream takes well afterwards.
