Fig. 1. shows a simple method of fastening the legs. Strips of deal or other suitable wood are bored to receive the top ends of the legs, which are glued and fastened with a sprig as indicated. The strips should be halved and glued together where necessary (the halving of one piece is shown at Fig. 2), and secured to the underside of the top with a few screws.
