Take 1 oz. of pyroxylin or collodion cotton, 36 oz. of ether, and 12 oz. of alcohol of • 90 per cent, strength; place in a dry, stoppered bottle, and shake from time to time till dissolved. The best Liquid for diluting the collodion is a mixture of ether and alcohol in the above proportions.
