To repair a broken corner of a marble clockcase to imitate grain, which is light green, white, and black, a hard-setting cement can be used which is made by mixing plaster-of-Paris with white of egg. This can be used for re-forming the broken corners, and afterwards painted black and gently rubbed with furniture polish.
