Reflection in Mechanics, is the return or regressive motion of a move able body, arising from the reaction of another body on which it impinges. The reflection of bodies after impact, is attributable to their elasticity; and the more perfectly they possess this property, the greater will be their reflection, all other circumstances being the same.
