Question 118. - Please advise whether, according to the "Rules respecting endorsements" adopted by the Council of the Canadian Bankers' Association, the following is a regular endorsement:

The Boston Shoe Mfg. Co., per C. P. Daniels.

Answer. - No; there should be something to indicate the capacity in which Mr. Daniels signs, and that he is authorized to do so. If Mr. Daniels is the sole proprietor of the business, and is registered as doing business under the name of the Boston Shoe Mfg. Company, the addition to his endorsement of the word "proprietor" would make it regular.
