Leaves oval-lingulate, green or pale red, not nigrescent; the uppermost suboblong or oblong-lanceolate; cells smaller than in M. punctatum. Perichetial leaves as in M. subglobosum. Stem nearly glabrous. Pedicel longer than in M. punctatum.
