Agrees with Seligeria recurvata in the shape of the capsule and the arcuate pedicel, but differs considerably in the leaves being broader, very much shorter, aublinear obtuse, rarely short-acuminate and subacute, and the costa not excurrent, the perichetial leaves ovate-oblong, thin-costate, the peristome darker red. The male flower is fixed on the side of the female.
