T. flavescens: stems erect, 1-2 feet high; panicle oblong, 3-5 inches long, with slender, somewhat spreading branches, the spikelets erect, shining, often yellowish; awn twisted, but short, very fine and hair-like. - Dry meadows and pastures. Fl. July.
