Family, Saxifrage. Calyx, tubular, 5-cleft, broad. Petals, 5, small, equaling the calyx divisions. Stamens, 5. Styles, 2. Flowers in small, panicled clusters, insignificant. Leaves, principally from a rootstock, roundish, cre-nately lobed and toothed, narrowed at base into flattened petioles. Stem, hairy, beset with small glands, 2 or 3 feet high.
