This has blossoms similar to the last, but differs in its leaves, which are sessile, rigid, divided, all growing under water, but not collapsing when taken out. They have broad, large stipules. About 1 foot long.

Aquatic, found in slow streams from Vermont to Pennsylvania, and westward.
