Carolina Grass of Parnassus. Parnassia caroliniana.
Saxifrage Family. July - Sept.
Found in swamps and wet meadows. New Brunswick to Florida, west to Iowa.
Creamy white with greenish veins, divisions 5, on slender stalks 8 - 20 inches high.
From the base, somewhat heart-shaped, a single leaf clasping the flower stalks.
