Oakesia sessilifolia. Lily Family. May - June.
A plant 6 - 12 inches tall, found in rich woods. New England to Florida, west to Minnesota, Nebraska and Arkansas.
Pale yellow, 6 divisions, long and slender. Seed capsule 3-sided, resembling a beechnut.
Partly clasping, whitish beneath.
