Eight oranges; four lemons, cut up fine; then add seven pintts cold water; let stand 24 hours; boil one hour. Add -even pounds sugar, and let boil hard for another hour.
Take one and one-half gallons blackberries; mash to pulp; add one gallon sugar, and boil briskly 40 minutes. Seal up while hot.
Slice pineapple; add equal measure of sugar; prepare at night and set in ice box. In the .morning drain off juice and add one teaspoonful of lemon juice; cook syrup and pour over pineapple. Let it stand until cold, then put in glasses.
