Variously called stewed potatoes, minced potatoes in cream, and other ways, and a favorite way with many people. Take cold cooked potatoes, slice them as thin as possible into a stew pan, pour in good milk to come up even with the sliced potatoes and set over the fire. While it is heating, chop the potatoes small with a knife point, add salt, butter and cream, according as can be afforded. When made as most people like them these are almost as thick as mashed potatoes.
