Bishop's Bread, No. 1

4 eggs and 2 cups sugar beaten well together 1 cup dates 1 cup nuts

2 cups flour

1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder Pinch salt and 1 teaspoon vanilla

Bake in a shallow pan slowly for about forty minutes.

Bishop's Bread, No. 2

3 eggs well beaten, add 1 cup sugar, and beat 3 minutes

1 1/4 cups flour

2 teaspoonfuls baking powder Add 1/2 cup each of dates, raisins and almonds cut fine

Hake in a moderate oven, and when done and still hot, cut in oblong strips. Eat when cold.
