1/2 pound prunes
6 cups (3 pts.) water
1 lemon
Sugar or honey to taste
Peel lemon very thin, and put rinds and prunes into a saucepan with water, bring to a boil, and simmer forty minutes. Add strained lemon juice, and sugar or honey to taste. Strain into a cold pitcher and serve very cold. This drink is very wholesome for children and does not require much sugar or honey.
