1 cup margarine

1 cup rice flour or 1/3 cup potato flour

2 quarts fish stock

2 teaspoons salt 1 teaspoon pepper 6 hard-cooked eggs or 1 cup chopped pickle

Melt fat, add flour, stir until smooth; add boiling stock or water, stirring constantly. Add salt and pepper, boil five minutes; add sliced or chopped eggs, or chopped cucumber pickles.
