Meetings of the Union are held on the first and third Thursdays of each month. On the first Thursday the general business meetings are held and sewing is done either for the church or charity. On the third Thursday the missionary departments hold their meetings, for which programs of real interest are provided.
The Home Service Department, as its name indicates, gives the first attention to the needs of the local church. Something of the aggressive character of its work may be noted in the prompt payment of a five thousand dollar pledge to the Building Fund.
Much of the work of this department is done through five circles. These hold frequent meetings which promote sociability and enlist more workers and add to the earning power of the Home Service Department.
