This cake is really a white fruit cake, and to make it you will need 1 cup butter, 2 cups sugar, 1 cup milk, 3 cups flour and 2 teasp baking powder, 1 cup seeded raisins, 1 cup thinly-sliced citron, the whites of 4 eggs, and 1/2 cup corn starch. Use 1 teasp each of lemon and vanilla for flavoring. Fold in the well-beaten whites of the eggs last. Bake slowly in a moderate oven. Cover with a boiled frosting.
