1 cup grated carrot. 1 teaspoon salt. 1 cup grated potato. 1 1/2 cups flour. 1 cup chopped suet. 2 teaspoons baking powder. 1 cup sugar. Cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg. 1 cup raisins. Steam 3 hours. 1 cup currants.
1 cup sugar. 2 eggs. 1/2 cup butter. 1 cup boiling water. Nutmeg.
Also good served with whipped cream.

1 1/2 cups Henkel's flour. 1 cup dark sugar. 1 cup carrots grated (raw). 1 cup suet. 1/2 cup sweet milk. 1 cup currants. 1 teaspoon soda. 2 cups raisins. Spice to taste. 1 cup potatoes grated. (raw)
Citron, orange and lemon peel may be added if desired. Steam 3 hours. Serve with any kind of good sauce.
