This fine species is in the style of the well-known A magnificum, having large, ovately heart-shaped leaves of deep emerald-green ground, with beautiful silvery veins radiating from the base to the extreme point. The secondary nerves have also broad bands of silver, which glitter in the sunbeam like veins of crystal, presenting a brilliant contrast with the intervening rich-green leaf-spaces. The young leaves show a purplish-violet tint.
