The Gardener's Chronicle says: " The floral decoration at the Guildhall on the occasion of the reception of the Prince of Wales was entrusted to Mr. B. S. Williams, of Holloway, who also supplied the bouquet presented to the Princess, 200 other bouquets for the ladies, and 350 "buttonholes " for the gentlemen. The Princess' bouquet consisted principally of Phalsenopsis grandi-flora, Odontoglossum Alexandra?, Vandas, etc. Between thirty and forty van-loads of decorative plants, such as Tree Ferns, Azaleas, Palms and Orchids, were required on the occasion. The ball-room and the approaches to it were decorated by Mr. Wills."
