A correspondent kindly says: - " Knowing the desire of the editor that the Gardener's Monthly should be strictly accurate, even to the 'dotting of an i, and the crossing of at,' I make no apology for offering the following corrections:"The proper orthography of some of the places mentioned in the French notes is Champs-Elysees, Bois de Boulogne, Pare de Monseaux. And allow me to say that Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, were beheaded in the"Place de la Concorde," and not on the spot of the " Chapelle Expiatone".
The latter is the spot where they were buried, and where their bodies laid for twenty-one years, until removed by Louis XVIII, in 1815, to the royal vault of St. Denis".
