The demand for the beautiful new species of rose, Rosa minutifolia, has been so great in Europe that Dr. C. C. Parry has been induced to make another botanical excursion into Lower California, chiefly with the view of supplying the wants of nurserymen everywhere for it. He was to leave the end of January. It is fortunate that horticulture is the means of inducing this intrepid botanist to brave again the dangers of this inhospitable region, as no doubt other new things will still turn up.

This well known botanical traveller, has returned to his home in Davenport, Iowa.
