Ozone is now conceded to be the great purifier of the atmosphere, and plants are known to produce ozone. One of the greatest discoveries of the day, is that of Dr. Anders of Philadelphia, who finds that the leaves of plants have nothing to do with it, - but that flowers alone produce ozone. Flowering plants will therefore be of inestimable service in sick and sleeping-rooms, - and we have also a reason why in the wonderful wisdom which rules the world, flowers are blooming somewhere at all seasons, and at every hour of the day and night.
