A correspondent from western Pennsylvania says: " My crop of grapes from under glass turned out better than I expected, and we have the last of our Black Hamburghs and Muscat of Alexandria grapes on our table to-day, in honor of a deceased parent's birthday. This fruit has kept in an upper room, laid on wrapping paper, and well covered with the same. Though somewhat shrunken, both kinds are fresh and quite palatable, with very little culling out. The ripening of the fruit and its keeping so well, I attribute largely to thorough thinning at the proper season".
