At the recent meeting of the American Horticultural Society, the Worden, Mr. Hubbard said, was a larger, handsomer, and more attractive berry than the Concord, and ripened from a week to ten days earlier. Purchasers tasting it, would call it a first-class Concord. And Mr. Geo. W. Campbell said: "I was one of the first in Ohio to raise the Worden Grape. It is larger than the Concord, jucier, and ripens earlier than the Concord, but it has all the faults of that popular grape, the skin being tender, thus making it a poor shipping grape".
