This is one of the most popular of our hardy vines, growing very rapidly, climbing to a height of 50 feet or more. When in bloom it is truly magnificent. It flowers in early Spring resembling in size and shape a bunch of grapes.
* Wistaria Sinensis (Chinese Blue)
-- The flowers are of a pale blue color, and are borne in pendulous racemes in May and June.
* Wistaria Alba (Chinese White).
-- Very like the Chinese Blue, except that the flowers are white and remain longer.
* Wistaria Flore Pleno (Chinese Purple).
-- Blooms in the Spring in short, dense clusters; flowers pale blue.
