The dry herb (with few flowers) of Ranunculus Ficaria, L. (family Ranunculaceae) yields upon distillation'2) 0,02 p.c. of a dark brown oil with a tobacco-like odor. d24o 0,9101; b.p. 150 to 310°. It contains palmitic acid, m.p. 61°.
