From the press-cakes of the raspberry, Rubus Idaeus, L. (Ger. Himbeere, family Rosaceae), H. Haensel3) obtained a small amount of an oil that had the odor of fermented raspberries: d15o0,8833; aD + 2°8'; S. V. 193; S. V. after acetylation 215; soluble in 30 parts of 80 p. c. alcohol.
