(6-18') high, bulb at stem base, flowers May, yellow, 5's; contains volatile oil (anemonin + anemonic acid). Irritant, diuretic, narcotic; externally--bronchitis, rheumatism, sciatica; in decoction, infusion. Dose, 3ss-1 (2-4 Gm.).
