Habitat. - South of Europe.
Flowering time. - April to August.
Part employed. - The seeds.
Characters. - Seeds large, irregularly angular, externally blackish-brown, internally whitish and oily, covered with small indentations. Taste bitter, acrid, burning. Emit a very disagreeable odour when pounded.
Preparation. - Tincture, using rectified spirit.
