At the same time the atmosphere of the room is charged with atomized phenic solution. A stimulant nourishment is given, and three to five drops of tincture of iron every three hours. When dyspnoea becomes apparent, an emetic is to be given, but if the symptoms are not relieved, tracheotomy must be performed without delay. M. Jules Simon.
