Take a piece of wire the size of a fine knitting needle, roughen it for about an inch from one end, firmly wrap this rongh portion with absorbent cotton. This cotton is then dipped into a saturated solution of chloride of zinc and thrust to the bottom of a crypt of the tonsil.
