From Potassium Cyanide, which reacts with Silver Nitrate, producing the precipitate of Silver Cyanide. Kcn+AgNo3=AgCN+Kno3.
A white powder, odorless and tasteless, permanent in dry air, but gradually turning brown on exposure to light. Solubility. - Insoluble in water and Alcohol.
Silver Cyanide is used to prepare extemporaneously Acidum Hydrocyani-cum Dilutum.
