From double decomposition of Calcium Hypophosphite and Potassium Carbonate; the Potassium Hypophosphite remains in solution. Ca(Ph2o2)2+K2Co3=CaCo3+2Kph2o2.
White, opaque, hexagonal plates, or crystalline masses, or a granular powder, having a pungent, saline taste. Solubility. - In 0.6 part of water, and in 7.3 parts of Alcohol.
Dose, 5 to 20 gr.; .30 to 1.20 gm.
