I have applied the fresh root to ulcerated scrofulous tumors. The effect is marked and similar to that produced by Arum. The juice of the leaves and root, pure or mixed with water, applied on lint to ill-conditioned ulcers, modifies them beneficially, and promotes cicatrization, 26,283.
