1. Pencil, rule, knife, and dividers

1. Square and true stock.

2. Clamping with and across grain

2. Jointer plane

2. Joint edges and bevel.

3. Cabinet and hand clamps

3. Clamp together, wash oil sur-plus glue.

3. Gluing

4. Smoothing plane

4. Doweling

5. 3-8 inch bit and bit stock

4. After 24 hours remove clamps.

6. Try square and marking gauge

5. Finish surface with smoothing plane and glue on penholder.

7. Block and Jack plane

6. Finish and polish.
