All the verbs that have come into our language for many centuries are new conjugation verbs. Give the principal parts of some very recent verbs; for example, telephone, electrocute motor.
The old conjugation verbs are not numerous and they are all very ancient. Examine the list given on pages 330-332, and notice that they are all short, and are such words as people living a very simple life would need. Our primitive forefathers used them. The verb do, for example, is a very old verb; and the verb skiddoo is too recent to be reputable. Compare their principal parts.
