See if you can tell from these sentences when to should be used and when at is the right word. Write the rule that you discover.
1. John walked to school in fifteen minutes.
2. John was at school when I went to see him.
3. I will go to the game if the day is pleasant.
4. Mary is'at the library, I think.
Copy these sentences and fill each blank with to or at. Remember not to use to unless you are thinking of a stopping place. Notice which word you can sometimes use in in place of.
