The age of life, is of course, the number of years one has lived up to the last birthday. It is of course one number less than the year of life. The sign and corresponding houses; ruling the age of life, are found by the following method: Add the age of life to the birth number, and divide the total by 12. The remainder will be the NUMBER OF THE SIGN for the age of life. Having found the sign, then you can regulate your judgment by the different factors in evidence or use these ready-made judgments which we present for the various sign numbers.

Look at the good and the bad influences in both year of life and age of life, and mix them for your conclusion, and in living out the year try to ignore, or be indifferent to the bad, or guard against it, and put your whole efforts into an encouragment of the good, and then you will be working with natural forces.

Years of life are the same for all at the same years of life. In judging them carefully from the wheel they must always be considered subject to the basic character. They are modified by the "age of life." These modifications create such a diversity of combinations that no two people of the same year of life can be precisely the same, unless they each have the same birth number. In such cases, they would be similarly conditioned, so far as these laws of years of life go,

The years of life are the "within" influences, and alike to all as life progresses. The age of life is the environing or outside modifications of the within. Two paths to choose from in our capacity known as will, and while both are in evidence, our choice determines which shall predominate. This is a like sample of all matters regulated in astrology by what are known as the solar or the mundane laws. Mundane laws of earth earthy, are without. Solar laws are of the Son sunny and within. It makes no difference from which point we make our mathematical calculations, they both bear the same relation to each other, as do darkness and daylight.
