Blue eyes are called the weakest eyes Of all the eyes we mortals use. Caucasians only, have blue eyes, To some this may be wondrous news.

Brown eyes are called the strongest eyes, By strength and weakness, I mean sight, For blacks and browns predominate, 'Mongst those who suffer mental blight Gray eyes, when turning green in rage, Are under strong excitement's rule, Display a choleric temperament - All gray eyed people should keep cool.

Wide open eyes are likewise rash, Side-glancing eyes denote distrust

Small eyes are canning, tricky eyes, The staring eyes show slight disgust

The All Seeing I.

The All-Seeing I.

The downcast eyes, are modest eyes, For shame they may be, or, be shy.

The melancholic rarely has A femininic, clear blue eye;

The rapid constant moving eyes, Denote anxiety, fear or care.

Side-jerking, quick, unsteady eyes, Are nerer settled anywhere..

An horizontal upper lid Across the pupils of the eyes

Denotes a very able mind, And long, sharp-cornered eyes are wise.

The proper distance 'tween the eyes Should be the width of just one eye.

If white beneath the iris shows, One's character is surely high.

The upturned, is devotion's eye, The eye of faith, belief and prayer.

Eyes wide apart are memory's eyes, Backed by intelligence, everywhere.

Weak brows with eyes of any hue, And concave lashes also long,

Will modify some other points, As constitution is not strong.

Eyes close together in the head, Are jealous eyes, fault-finding mind,

With fretty, peevish, petty freaks, And outbursts of most every kind.

When upper eyelids, under arc Is perfect semi-circle form,

The person is of goodly mind, But timid, and, alone, forlorn.

The eyes of genius, bright and clear,

Are slowly moving, strong and true.

When prudent thought denotes the move,

They search the detail through and through.

The bulging eye, e'en though 'tis small,

Is better than the sunken form, For fortune favors bulging eyes,

While sunken eyes are oft forlorn.

But, gentle people, do not think That eyes are all there is in life,

Take other thoughts aside from eyes If you are choosing man or wife.

The eyes are "windows of the soul,"

Yet, don't forget, man wears a mask, And, windows are for looking out, . To look in through them, is a task.

Some window might not be quite clear, Yet, close behind it stand a saint -

At window clear, might stand a fiend, Disguised in fine deceptive paint.

Our eyes should be an open book. Which all might read and under-stand,

But, art and nature, in our age, Are seldom walking hand in hand.
