These natives are said to be gifted in any domain they see fit to enter. They are thinkers, orators, and inventors. Their brains and their hands seem to work in harmony. They are artisans and often artists. Without proper early training they often develop abnormally, and spend their time in sensuous and sometimes sensual enjoyment. Under such conditions the women are either hysterical or chronically nervous and helpless. The men grow large about the neck and abdomen, loud-voiced, and careless of their manners and reputations. Under wise direction the opposite state of good taste, good looks, and refinement obtains. These people are said to have three masters, Castor and Pollux, who are seldom in harmony, and the Bull, who is ever determined to rule this historic pair. They are very busy and helpful when at their best, and very indolent when not in good spirits. It is all up or all down until they have learned to govern themselves. If poor, they are tragically unhappy. They are exceedingly proud and would prefer starvation to dependence. If members of churches they are zealous workers. Their faith is strong in their ability to advise. They are glorious givers but reluctant receivers. The blending of spiritual and material qualities in their natures is most powerful for good when properly understood. These people are the very salt of the earth when awakened to their splendid intellectual and spiritual heritage.
