Just the sort of little net with which the boys catch minnows will do. But this is only necessary if you hook a large fish, which by the way, is sometimes done when fishing for small ones. When you have a large fish on the hook, do not try to pull it out of the water at once, or it will resist and break the line, and go off with the hook in it; you will thus lose line and fish. Keep a slight strain upon the line, and bring the fish gradually to the side, where you can put your net under it, and thus land it.
