Aggerhuus, Or Akershnas, a S. E. bailiwick of Norway, in the diocese of Christiania; area, 2,012 sq. m.; pop. in 1865, 164,804. It abounds in beautiful scenery, mountains, lakes, and waterfalls. The chief trade is in pitch and lumber; with some iron, tallow, and hides. The whole diocese of Christiania was formerly called Aggerhuus.
