Take one pound tobacco, one pound spikenard, half a pound of cumfrey, and boil them in three quarts of chamber-ley till almost dry; squeeze out the juice, add to it pitch and bees-wax, and simmer it over a moderate heat to the consistence of salve. Apply it to the part affected. (See 2175.)
