The following penetrating oily liniment reduces all kinds of inflammatory processes:

Paraffine oil......... 4 ounces

Capsicum powder.. .. 1/2 ounce Digest on a sand bath and filter. To this may be added directly the following: Oil of wintergreen or peppermint, phenol, thymol, camphor or eucalyptol, etc.

Camphor..........     2 ounces

Menthol...........     1 ounce

Oil of thyme.......     1 ounce

Oil of sassafras.....     1 ounce

Tincture of myrrh ..     1 ounce

Tincture of capsicum    1 ounce

Chloroform........     1 ounce

Alcohol...........     2 pints
