To prevent sea sickness, take 2 or 3 grams of potassium bromide dissolved in plain or carbonated water every evening either with supper or just before retiring for several weeks before going on the voyage. During the voyage, breathing should be deep and a tight bandage should be worn around the abdomen.
Menthol............ 0.1 part
Cocaine hydrochloride.......... 0.2 parts
Alcohol............ 60.0 parts
Syrup.............. 30.0 parts
A dessertspoonful to be taken at intervals of half an hour.
